FAQ

Conveyancing is the process by which property title (the ownership of a property) is transferred from one person or entity to another. When you sell or purchase a property, you need to go through a conveyancing transaction or special legal process.

A conveyancing solicitor represents and helps you to complete the conveyancing transaction or process so that you as a seller will receive the sale proceeds or as a purchaser will get the property ownership. The solicitor will help you to comply with your legal obligations under the Contract of Sale / Purchase and to protect your rights or entitlement under the terms of the Contract.

As it will often be one of the most expensive transactions for you, you would want to ensure that you do not suffer a loss (or incur liability) or that you are not deprived of your entitlement under the Contract.

A typical transaction stipulates 10 to 12 weeks for completion of the sale / purchase depending on the Contract terms. However, this time period could be varied under the Contract terms.

Our lawyer will advise you on your options and recommend a course of action to protect your position and/or manage the problem towards achieving your desired outcome. His litigation experience will serve as an added advantage.
